WORLD MARCH for Peace and Nonviolence (WM)
A New Initiative has been announced that coincides with a Global Strategy of Nonviolence perfectly!
October 2, 2009 through January 2, 2010 A core group of 50 people is traveling around the world to bring attention to the WM
To end the threat of nuclear war – which would be the greatest catastrophe in history – a dead end.
To give a voice to the majority of world citizens, who want peace.
To bring about:
• Worldwide Nuclear Disarmament • Withdrawal of all invading troops from occupied territories • Signing of Non-Aggression Treaties among nations • Renunciation of War by all governments
To expose all other forms of violence (economic, racial, sexual, religious, psychological etc…) and provide a way for all who suffer such violence to be heard.
To create global awareness of the urgent need for Peace - as has already happened with environmental issues.
To Nurture a Worldwide Moral Consciousness That Rejects Violence
